I recently took portrait photos of all the board members of Ung Företagsamhet Västmanland, which I’m also on the board for. I decided to take them downtown Västerås so I could use the city as my background.
To make a photo like that look good, it’s very important to get a short depth of field and get most of the lights in the face. Even though I used a flash I had to do some editing, which shows my point very well. I’ll use my own photo as an example. But look how plain the first photo looks compared to the edited one, even though I haven’t done much to it.
